Privacy Policy
We care about protecting your personal data. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the applicable legal provisions (GDPR, TKG). This Privacy Policy explains the most important aspects of data processing when you use this website.

2. Hosting & Server Logs
When you access this website, server log data is processed for technical reasons (e.g., IP address, date/time of the request, requested file/URL, referrer, browser and operating system). Processing is necessary to ensure stability and security of the website.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
Storage period: Log data is stored only briefly and then deleted, unless a security-related evaluation is required.
3. Contact Form
If you contact us via the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, e‑mail address, message) solely for the purpose of handling your request.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and, where necessary, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to incoming requests).
Storage period: Requests are deleted after final processing, at the latest after 6 months, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
4. Newsletter
When you sign up for the newsletter, we process your e‑mail address and optionally your name. Sign-up uses a double opt‑in process: after registration you will receive a confirmation e‑mail, and the newsletter will only be sent once you have clicked the link it contains.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future — either via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter e‑mail or by contacting us directly.
Storage period: Until consent is withdrawn. After unsubscribing, your data is blocked from further dispatch and deleted upon request.
5. Recipients & Processors
To operate the website and newsletter, we use the following data processors:
Vercel Inc., USA — website hosting and delivery. Legal basis for third-country transfer: EU Standard Contractual Clauses. vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
Supabase Inc., USA — storage of newsletter subscriber data. Data is stored exclusively in the EU (Frankfurt region, AWS eu-central-1). Data Processing Agreement: supabase.com/legal/dpa
Resend Inc., USA — delivery of transactional e‑mails (confirmation and unsubscribe e‑mails). Legal basis for third-country transfer: EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Data Processing Agreement: resend.com/legal/dpa
Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all processors listed above.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
7. Cookies & Audience Measurement
We use no cookies — neither strictly necessary ones nor tracking or marketing cookies. Nor is any information stored in or read from your browser’s local storage. A cookie banner is therefore not required (Section 25(1) TDDDG).
For audience measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics.
Your browser transmits: the address requested, without query parameters and without the fragment, the corresponding route pattern (such as /[lang]/wissenshub/), a timestamp, and the name and version of the measurement component. Nothing else — in particular no identifier that would make you recognisable across visits.
From the request itself Vercel additionally derives coarser attributes, of the kind every web server sees: country, operating system, browser and device type. Your IP address is evaluated for this, but not stored. No cross-site profile is created, and the data is not combined with other sources.
The measurement script is served from our own server. Visiting the site therefore does not open a connection to any further provider.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in designing the website to meet actual demand). You may object to this processing at any time under Article 21 GDPR — informally, to the address given in section 1. The objection also takes effect technically and immediately, without notifying us: if your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, no page view is transmitted.
Processor: Vercel Inc., USA — already named in section 5; transfer to a third country on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Retention: Vercel retains the aggregated reports for the period provided by the plan; no personal raw data is created.
